Best mates at work make financial sense

Having a best friend at work means staff are “seven times more likely to be engaged in their job” according to Tom Raith’s new book Vital Friends. So does it makes sense for business to encourage friendships in the workplace? When things are fine it’s a great idea, but the moment someone is promoted over their friend, or has to pull up a friend on performance grounds life could get a whole lot trickier for managers and HR teams.
